Fundraising is essential when it comes to rescuing shelter dogs. Our adoption fee does not cover the costs of completely vetting one healthy dog.  If they are heartworm positive or have any other medical problems, the costs can prevent us from saving. We have numerous fundraisers to help offset these costs as well as provide initial vaccines, flea, and dewormer to all of our intakes at Guadalupe County Animal Control which on average, has been 50-60 dogs a month.
